The Florida Gators Men's basketball team remained on top for the fourth consecutive week and earned both a number 1 seed on the NCAA tournament as well as a top ranking in The Associated Press last Top 25 of the regular season.

The top four teams, all ranked number 1, also include Arizona, Wichita State, and Virginia. Wichita State is the only team out of the four that remains undefeated on the season.

The ranking of the teams marks quite a change from the way things were looking just a few weeks ago earlier this month. Syracuse, which held a number 1 seed before flopping down the stretch, dropped 5 games to drop down to No. 3 in the South Region of the tournament. The Orange will take on No. 14 Western Michigan later this week in Bufffalo.

As far as snubs are concerned, many have pointed towards New Mexico as a team that should have received a higher ranking. The team has lost fewer games than Syracuse (three) and they also had a convincing victory against San Diego State. Another team that suddenly dropped was Michigan, and CBS Sports indicates that the team probably would have had a 1 seed if they hadn't dropped their decision against Michigan State over the weekend.

Regardless of whether teams were snubbed or if they snuck in at the last second, everyone has a different opinion about the seedings. However, the best part about these tournaments is that teams control their own destinies and winning can take them as far as they want to go.
