"The Vampire Diaries" is not what it is if Nina Dobrev won't be coming back to its original home. Earlier this week, fans witness the dashing moment when Dobrev came back as Elena, in the promo. It is obvious that Elena Gilbert is confused as she had her reunion with Stefan.

Unfortunately, the comeback of Elena Gilbert at Mystic Falls in "The Vampire Diaries" is not for good as it comes with a price. Well, fans wouldn't mind the price as long as Dobrev is in the finale episode of the series. But someone needs to say goodbye and hinted play a major character in the "The Vampire Diaries."

After Dobrev left the show in 2015, fans have been urging her comeback and her return has kept under the wraps. And now, everything is clear, as Entertainment Weekly greatly spill she came back for the funeral for one of the major cast members on the show. The finale will visit the Mystic Falls cemetery with Elena with one noticeably absent character.

During an interview with the show runner of the series "The Vampire Diaries," Julie Plec stated that they are feeling absolutely epic. As the production wanted to big, emotionally, with some action and spectacular about it. With the word, emotional, it has already been stating otherwise a character will bid its goodbye, as Paul Wesley (Stefan) left in tears after reading the script.

But the question remains on "who?" who will die? In the clip, Elena was seen fondly looking at an old picture of her together with Bonnie and Caroline, Digital Spy has reported. Now, that's another assumption, so is it one of them dying in "The Vampire Diaries?"

It's still too early to have a concrete conclusion as everyone could literally be a choice. Meanwhile, another character will reprise his role in "The Vampire Diaries," Jeremy Gilbert played by Steven R McQueen is back in the finale episode.

Jeremy's comeback signifies another possibility in "The Vampire Diaries." The production already wrapped the filming last Feb. 8 and the finale episode will air on March 10, Friday on The CW.
