Wednesday’s chance to win big money playing Powerball is here.

The grand prize is currently at $300 million with a cash value of $184.2 million.

Last Saturday’s winning numbers were 27, 40, 44, 59, 65 and 20. There were regular 1.003 million regular winners, and $6,255,566 in non-jackpot money was won.

There are nine ways to win at Powerball. There is a 1-in-292,201,338.00 chance of getting the grand prize, and a 1-in-11,688,053.52 in winning $1 million. Playing it safe, a Powerball player has a 1-in-38 chance of simply doubling her money on a $2 ticket.

Eight U.S. Postal Service workers will be splitting a $1 million Missouri Powerball prize.

As KSDK News reports, the mailmen have been playing the lottery together for 15 years.

Steven West, the man who bought the winning ticket for the Dec. 19 drawing, broke the great news to his co-workers.

"I got home that night after work. I go online, and I'm looking at the numbers, checking all of our tickets," West said. "I call up one of the guys and said that I need verification. I need you to go online, look at these numbers and call them out to me. He started reading the numbers, and I said, 'Yes, yes, yes, yes! Lord, we won $1 million!'"

Once the money is split up eight ways, everyone will get around $125,000 before taxes.

The winning numbers for the "Powerball Match 5" were 28, 30, 41, 59 and 68.

No doubt winning major Powerball cash with your co-workers is a life-changing thrill. But, it can also bring some sobering lessons.

Sandra Hayes, a former child services social worker who split a $224 million Powerball jackpot with a dozen co-workers back in 2006, says collecting her $6 million share of the fortune taught her a few things about people, according to CBS News.

"I had to endure the greed and the need that people have, trying to get you to release your money to them. That caused a lot of emotional pain," she said. "These are people who you've loved deep down, and they're turning into vampires trying to suck the life out of me."
