Rene Angelil knew that his death would be a big burden to his wife, so in his last act of love, he planned out his own funeral ahead of time. The 73-year-old manager and husband of Celine Dion was afflicted with throat cancer and though he didn't know when his battle would end, he made sure that everything would be in order in case he passed.

He finally succumbed to the disease on Jan.14, and true enough, his wife doesn't have to do a lot of preparations for his funeral because he took care most of the things already when he was still alive.

Dion's trusted friend and stylist, Annie Horth, revealed to People, "René was generous enough to prepare all of this since the last few months with Céline."

"Because of this, Céline is going through this peacefully and with control," she added.

Moreover, according to insiders, Angelil wished for his funeral rites to be held at the Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal. It is the same church where the couple was married in 1994.

According to Hello Magazine, Angelil's obituary read: "According to his final wishes, his Funeral will be held at Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal, where 21 years ago, he chose to marry the one who will remain as the great love of his life, the artist for which he had the most respect, the woman who gave him light and happiness until his very last breath."

The religious funeral service has been set for Friday, Jan. 22 and it will be broadcasted live on three major TV networks. Canadian flags will also be at half-staff during the rites, TMZ reported.

The day before the funeral, the public may also pay their last respect to the prominent Canadian figure at the Chapel of Rest. In addition, Dion made an announcement that she will be hosting a celebration of Rene's life on Feb. 3 at the Vegas Colosseum in Caesars Palace.

However, it was clarified that she will not be singing at her husband's funeral because she is still in deep sorrow. In place of a live rendition, Dion's representative, Kim Jakwerth, stated that they may just play one or two of Celine's songs in the background.

Meanwhile, although the "Power of Love" singer is still grieving, another tragedy hit her family when her older brother Daniel Dion also passed away due to cancer. His passing happened just two days after Angelil's death.

René Angelil is survived by Dion and their three children -- Rene-Charles and twins Nelson and Eddy. He also has other children with previous marriages -- Jean Pierre and Anne-Marie.
