"Zootopia" hasn't escaped Disney's tradition of putting Easter eggs all over its films. This time, the upcoming animated flick tossed its hat to the 2013 blockbuster hit "Frozen."

Disney recently released a new batch of stills from "Zootopia." One image featured a scene in Tundratown, the icy district of the animal kingdom's city. Seen in the lower left-hand corner is a family of elephants. Upon zooming in, the two young elephants are revealed to be wearing costumes similar to those donned by Elsa (voiced by Idina Menzel) and Anna (voiced by Kristen Bell) in "Frozen."

Another "Frozen" nod in "Zootopia" was also revealed prior to this. According to the report, Bell will cameo in the flick as the voice of a sloth.

"Zootopia" is set in "a modern mammal metropolis comprised of neighborhoods such as ritzy Sahara Square and frigid Tundratown," Ginnifer Goodwin stars as the voice behind a bunny named Judy Hopps, a "by-the-book meter maid with dreams of being a police officer." However, being the first female bunny in the police force proved to be difficult, and Judy had to team up with a cunning scam-artist fox named Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman) to solve a mystery.

Josie Trinidad, the story head of "Zootopia," said that she and her teammates studied common stereotypes of animals during the movie's research stage, which took 18 months. They also traveled to Africa to immerse themselves in the animals' habitat and to learn the creatures' behaviors.

Aside from Africa, the team also paid a visit to Disney's Animal Kingdom, San Diego's Wild Animal Park and the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County to research and interview experts.

Director Byron Howard said they planned to make a funny flick about animals, but as their process developed they arrived at a chance to address major social issues like stereotypes and racial prejudice.

"Zootopia" began as a traditional detective story with visual wonders and humor, but the film eventually developed into "a genuinely engrossing and disturbing mystery" as it progressed.

The supporting voice cast includes Shakira, Idris Elba, J.K. Simmons, Nate Torrence, Jenny Slate, Tommy Chong, Octavia Spencer, Bonnie Hunt, Don Lake, Alan Tudyk, Tommy Lister, Katie Lowes, Jesse Corti and John Di Maggio. Michael Giacchino is providing the musical score as his first collaboration with Walt Disney Animation Studios.

"Zootopia" is co-directed by Rich Moore and Jared Bush. Serving as the writers of the screenplay are Bush and Phil Johnston, while Clark Spencer executive produces.

The film begins in U.S. theaters on March 4, 2016. Watch the trailer below.
