100 million might be President Joe Biden's favorite number as the United States hit the first goal of 100 million COVID vaccine shots administered to Americans. The vaccine rollout target was reached last Friday, according to a CBS report. Along with the execution of the president's vaccine plan, 100 million stimulus checks will also be given to Americans in the next 10 days.

The President said these promises during his speech in the White House. The signing of the American Rescue Plan into law opened doors for the states and local governments in addressing their needs.

Biden's Help is Here Tour

The tandem Biden and Harris, together with their spouses, will travel around the country to inform the Americans about the benefits of the $1.9 trillion budget. The budget was approved by Congress and will help the Americans survive amid the coronavirus pandemic.

NBC News reported that the tandem Biden and Harris, together with their spouses, will kick off a tour around the United States. The four will travel to personally explain the benefits of the American Rescue Plan in education, vaccination, and financial aid.

Stimulus Payments

The Insider noted that the handing out of the stimulus checks will hit the bank accounts of the Americans starting Wednesday. President Biden also announced that he will task former national economic adviser Gene Sperling to supervise the implementation of The American Rescue Plan.

According to The Hill, Sperling will be given the title of White House American Rescue Plan Coordinator and senior adviser to the president. Sperling's job is similar to Biden's role in handing out the 2009 recovery bill during his term as Vice President under the Obama Administration.

"Gene will be on the phone with mayors and governors, red states, blue states," Biden said. Sperling will also be the source of accountability to get the job done and implement the stimulus checks to Americans.

Americans can check the status of the stimulus check using the tool from IRS called Get My Payment.

COVID Vaccine

The administration is also expediting its efforts in the COVID vaccine roll. As of Monday, the United States has been administering 2.4 million doses per week. 71 million Americans received their first dose of the vaccine, while 38.3 million have been fully vaccinated.

In addition, the Biden administration has also pledged to make the vaccine available for all American adults by the end of May. Moreover, the President also announced in his White House speech that their administration will direct states to make the adults eligible for the vaccines starting May 1.

"It is one thing to pass a historic piece of legislation like the American Rescue Plan and it's quite another to implement it," President Joe Biden said.
