Former NFL star Rob Gronkowski said he is looking forward to Sunday's Super Bowl 57 between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles. He is also looking forward to Rihanna's halftime show.

Gronkowski used to play with the Patriots and Buccaneers. According to ClutchPoints, a reporter asked Gronkowski during an interview on Friday if he would watch the Rihanna halftime show, and he said, "I'm looking forward to it big time."

Gronkowski certainly meant what he said about the singer. He summed up his motivation by saying, "just trying to shine bright like a diamond," referencing a line from Rihanna's song, "Diamonds."

Rihanna Promises' Jam-Packed' Super Bowl 57 Halftime Show

In preparation for her Super Bowl 57 halftime show, Rihanna has been working so hard that she almost forgot about her approaching birthday and Valentine's Day.  So, Rihanna's halftime show performance would be "a jam-packed show," NBC News reported.

The pop superstar and new mother told reporters in a media preview Thursday that her performance at Sunday's match between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles felt "like it could have only been now."

Rihanna admitted that she was initially unsure about taking on the challenge of performing at her first live event in seven years three months after giving birth, saying: "Should I be making major decisions like this right now? I might regret this."

"But when you become a mom, there's something that just happens where you feel like you can take on the world, you can do anything," Rihanna noted, adding that the Super Bowl was one of the world's biggest stages and it was "scary" as it has been seven years since the last time she had been on stage.

"There's something exhilarating about the challenge of it all," she said. Rihanna has won nine Grammy Awards and had 14 singles at No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100 hits. Among these songs are "We Found Love," "Work," "Umbrella," and "Disturbia." Recently, she and rapper A$AP Rocky welcomed their first child together.

Rihanna's Super Bowl 57 Halftime Show Setlist

Setlist details for Rihanna's Super Bowl 57 halftime show performance are being kept under wraps. However, fans can anticipate hearing several of her biggest hits.

With nine UK number ones under her belt, including "Umbrella," "Diamonds," and "We Found Love," the performer has no shortage of crowd-pleasing songs to choose from, Yahoo reported.

She told Apple Music: "The setlist was the biggest challenge. That was the hardest, hardest part, deciding how to maximize 13 minutes."

"That's what this show is going to be, it's going to be a celebration of my catalog in the best way that we could have put it together," she added.

Rihanna is "very likely" going to sing her song, "Lift Me Up" from "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever," according to Billboard. The ballad is up for best original song at the Oscars next month, so if she performs it well, it could help her win that prestigious award.

Fans will also be paying close attention to Rihanna's halftime show performance to see if there are any signs that a new album is coming out soon. After her 2016 album "Anti," the singer took a long hiatus to concentrate on her business and acting career.
