The Las Vegas Raiders may have a new minority owner as former Super Bowl champion Tom Brady is buying a stake in the team, with majority owner Mark Davis confirming the news and even admitting he is excited about this.

"We have come to an agreement for Tom Brady to become a partner in the Raiders and we have submitted it to the NFL for approval," the team's majority owner said. "We're excited for Tom to join the Raiders."

Davis revealed that Tom Brady had been in "deep discussions" to become a limited partner of the Raiders with them and that they have already agreed to a deal to make this a reality. However, they still need the NFL to approve this, though a decision might not happen during the league's spring meeting.

CBS Sports pointed out that the minority ownership deal came just a few months after Brady announced his "final" retirement and an ownership stake in the Las Vegas Aces WINBA team, which is also primarily controlled by Davis.

The Las Vegas Raiders team is noted for having some strong connections to the New England Patriots, which is, of course, Tom Brady's old team, where he won most of his Super Bowl rings. This includes head coach Josh McDaniels, one of Pats head coach Bill Belichick's most well-known protegees, as well as general manager Dave Ziegler, who is a product of New England's personnel department. Even new quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo was a former New England Patriot.

Las Vegas Raiders Fans Do Not Mind Tom Brady Joining Ownership Team

While the Raiders' majority owner does seem excited at the prospect of Tom Brady joining the ownership team, this begs the question of what do the Las Vegas fans think? SB Nation asked them in a poll to find out.

The poll has now closed, with 62% of fans being cool with Brady becoming a minority owner of their team, while 38% are not happy about it.

It was pointed out that while Brady is a good friend of Davis, many Raiders fans despise the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New England Patriots quarterback because of the history of the Tuck Rule, which is a rule that considers the ball leaving the quarterback's hands to be considered a forward pass even if the quarterback does not intend to pass it.

Brady was part of the "Tuck Rule Game," where the Patriots defeated the then-Oakland Raiders en route to winning Super Bowl XXXVI with the help of the Tuck Rule.

Tom Brady Rumored To Date Taylor Swift

In other Tom Brady news, rumors are now circling that he is dating Taylor Swift. The ex-QB was linked to actress Reese Witherspoon after divorcing Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen.

Both stars came from very recent breakups and are reportedly "available." This has led to rumors that the NFL superstar is dating a "blonde superstar." According to Marca, bookmakers have drawn a list of possible new girlfriends, and the most prominent one is none other than Taylor Swift.

Bookmaker BetQL stated that "There is endless speculation about who his next girlfriend could be." It added that Swift currently has the biggest possibility of being his next girlfriend at +1300.

Of course, these are still only rumors, as Swift is currently linked to Matty Healy, the singer of The 1975.
