Former Trump administration Attorney General Bill Barr is slamming his ex-boss, former President Donald Trump, as the Trump classified documents scandal finally heads to court. He even slammed the Ex-POTUS's defense of his actions which might have undermined national security.

Barr appeared on CBS News's "Face the Nation," where he compared his former boss to a "defiant, 9-year-old kid" before slamming Donald Trump once again over the classified documents case where Trump knowingly hid classified documents from the government, taking them from the White House and bringing them to Mar-a-Lago after his term in office ended.

"The legal theory by which he gets to take battle plans and sensitive national security information as his personal papers is absurd," said the former Trump AG. "It's just as wacky as the legal doctrine they came up with for, you know, having the vice president unilaterally determine who won the election."

The Washington Post pointed out that while Barr believes that Trump did some good during his presidency, he does not think the ex-POTUS should continue to be the Republican standard-bearer.

"He will always put his own interests and gratifying his own ego ahead of everything else, including the country's interests," the ex-AG said in the interview.

Barr and Trump fell off after January 6, with Barr resigning from his position a few weeks before the Capitol insurrection. They reportedly did not agree on whether then-President Trump should accept the election results. To this day, Trump insists that the eventual winner, Joe Biden, stole the election even though various courts all over the country have ruled that his statements are false.

Bill Barr Said Donald Trump Is 'Toast' on Fox News

Before his "Face the Nation" interview, Bill Barr appeared on pro-Trump media and eviscerated his former boss on Fox News, long considered a pro-Trump turf.

"If even half of it is true, he is toast," told "Fox News Sunday" host Shannon Bream. "I mean, it's a very detailed indictment, and it's very, very damning."

Fox News is known for not presenting guests that would say things that might turn off viewers, as proven by the Dominion lawsuit against the network. However, Barr, a known conservative, eviscerated Trump's argument that was often presented on Fox News that he is a victim of a "witch hunt."

"This idea of presenting Trump as a victim here or a victim of a witch hunt is ridiculous," the ex-AG said, adding that Trump was "totally wrong that he had the right to have those documents. Those documents are among the most sensitive secrets that the country has. They have to be in the custody of the archivist. He had no right to maintain them and retain them."

Chris Christie Also Slams Donald Trump on National TV

Meanwhile, former New Jersey governor and current presidential candidate Chris Christie was also making the news network rounds and eviscerated Donald Trump as well. According to USA Today, he criticized the former president's treatment of the people he hired, such as ex-Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.

"If you believe what he said when they left, that means he didn't pick the very best people and doesn't know how to pick personnel. If you believe about what he said at the beginning, the great stuff, then this guy is the worst manager in the history of the American presidency," said Christie, who is running against Trump for the presidency. This was in reference to Trump's promise of him hiring "only the best people" despite him having one of the highest turnover rates of any US president.
