No one saw this one coming: Paris Hilton signed a deal with Cash Money Records CEO Birdman.

Cash Money Records, which started as a local New Orleans rap label, is now one of the biggest hip-hop record companies and is known for its music artists, such as Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Tyga, and many more.

Back in May, when Birdman announced on the Cash Money Records roster about the addition of the heiress to the Cash Money team, many were skeptical about whether she would be a good fit for the record label.

"We are hustlers, we love money and she's already great, I think," Birdman addresses the concerns and assures his discernment of the record deal in an interview with MTV. "We're music and when we put that combination together, it's special. We turned something good into something great. When she came and played her music for me, I was taken away. I was excited. I was surprised. I didn't know what to expect when I first heard it, but when I heard it I was like it was something I'd love to work with."

Paris Hilton also talked about her decision to sign with Cash Money Records, "I had all the labels after my song, but after meeting with Birdman, I just thought it'd be the perfect fit. I have so much respect for him as a businessman and what he's built. We're great friends and we have so much fun together. It's a perfect fit."

In addition, Birdman spoke about the possibility of other YMCMB artists being involved in her upcoming album, "Soon as she's ready, whenever she reach out and the song fit, then we gon' make it happen." Birdman continues, "I believe in teamwork and we all look after each other. Whenever she's ready, whoever she want on the roster, that's available for her, anytime."

Paris Hilton's upcoming YMCMB debut album will be released on October 1, featuring Lil Wayne-assisted single, "Good Time."
