The Cleveland Cavaliers still have one roster spot to fill in the coming weeks, and reports revealed they are interested in acquiring Jordan Farmar, Nate Robinson and Tayshaun Prince.

According to Chris Haynes of the Northeast Ohio Media Group, the Cavaliers have inquired about the availability of Jordan Farmar, who was released by the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday after the team acquired Austin Rivers in a trade.

Sources said the Cavaliers view Farmar as a quality backup to superstar point guard Kyrie Irving. The 28-year-old playmaker averaged 4.6 points and 1.2 assists in 14.7 minutes per game with the Clippers this season. Last season, the eight-year veteran posted 10.1 points and 4.9 assists in 41 games with the LA Lakers.

Farmar also has ties with the Cavaliers organization having played under David Blatt when the first-year Cleveland coach was still with Maccabi Tel Aviv in 2011.

Aside from Farmar, the Cavaliers are also looking at the possibility of signing Robinson, who was waived by the Boston Celtics after the team acquired him in a trade that sent Jameer Nelson to the Denver Nuggets.

Robinson, who is known for providing instant offense off the bench, has yet to regain his form after recovering from an ACL surgery in his left knee. In 33 games for Denver, the 30-year-old guard averaged 5.8 points and 2.3 assists.

The Cavaliers are in search for another point guard to play next to Irving and backup playmaker Matthew Dellavedova. Cleveland signed A.J. Price this season but waived him again earlier this month.

They are expected to evaluate point guards who might be waived or bought out by the respective teams. But sources also indicated the Cavaliers are eyeing veteran forward Tayshaun Prince.

Prince, who is averaging 7.3 points and 3.2 rebounds per game this season, was traded to the Celtics in the deal that sent Jeff Green to the Memphis Grizzlies last week.

Recent reports indicated that the 34-year-old might also reach a buyout agreement with the Celtics. But aside from the Cavaliers, the Clippers have also expressed strong interest in acquiring the 13-year veteran, who helped the Detroit Pistons win an NBA title in 2004.

The Cavaliers, who are currently in sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings with their 21-20 record, have been very busy over the past few weeks.

Cleveland acquired J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert in a three-team deal with the New York Knicks and Oklahoma City Thunder and traded two first-round picks to the Nuggets for Timofey Mozgov.
