The Grand Theft Auto Online update has been released today, which means the $500,000 stimulus package will soon follow.

Today, Rockstar Games released the title update 1.05 for Grand Theft Auto Online, the online version of Grand Theft Auto V. The update was meant to fix various issues in the online game, which has been plagued with glitches.

The update includes the following:

  • Built in measures to prevent users from losing their progress when there is a cloud outage
  • Built in a number of measures to protect players' cash balances even if there are network problems
  • Fixed an issue where on rare occasions during network problems the player could lose their Online vehicle or mods after exiting GTA Online

Now that these glitches have been fixed, Rockstar can finally give players the 500,000 worth GTA$ that it promised users as an apology for the errors that were prominent during the game's debut. According to Rockstar, the stimulus package will be delivered to players "in the next couple of days."

"The Stimulus will go out over the course of a full day once it's initiated so don't be alarmed if people on your friends list receive it before or later than you do," Rockstar said. "Enjoy and we certainly appreciate your patience and understanding as we sort out these remaining issues."

According to The Guardian, however, the GTA$ will only be awarded to those who played Grand Theft Auto Online during the month that it was released.

Gamers who still experience problems with Grand Theft Auto Online are instructed to contact Rockstar's support team, subscribe to the GTA Online Launch Status article, or message Rockstar on its Twitter account.
