After a long hiatus, Fleetwood Mac founding member Christine McVie (the "Mac" in Fleetwood Mac) says that she would be interested in rejoining the legendary band that she helped make infamous.

Rolling Stone is reporting that the founding keyboardist left the group in 1998, and hasn't been onstage with the band since...until yesterday, when she stopped to play keyboards and reprise her part of "Don't Stop" onstage at the O2 Arena in London. And even though she enjoyed her time out of the spotlight for more than a decade, McVie said that she fit right in when she joined her erstwhile bandmates onstage. "It was amazing, like I'd never left," she said. "I climbed back on there again and there they were, the same old faces on stage."

According to E! News, as well, McVie said that she would love to join Fleetwood Mac again, if they'd ask her to. "I like being with the band, the whole idea of playing music with them," McVie said. "I miss them all. If they were to ask me I would probably be very delighted...but it hasn't happened so we'll have to wait and see."

McVie, however, will have to wait a little longer to see those dreams fulfilled: her ex-husband and fellow founding Fleetwood Mac member John McVie is currently undergoing aggressive cancer treatments. As such, the entire tour has been put on hold until John finishes his treatments. But Christine says that the bassist's prognosis is positive. "He's having his treatment in LA right now, but they caught it really early so he should be up and running in a couple of months," she said.

So do you think that McVie will rejoin Fleetwood Mac, or will she remain enjoying her "quiet life" in the English countryside? Sound off in the comments below!
