Last month, real estate tycoon Donald Trump said several negative things about Mexican immigrants during his 2016 Republican presidential campaign announcement.

"When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending the best," Trump said. "They're not sending you. They're sending people that have lots of problems and they're bringing those problems. They're bringing drugs, they're bringing crime. They're rapists and some, I assume, are good people, but I speak to border guards and they're telling us what we're getting."

His negative comments about immigration and Mexican immigrants received a strong backlash from companies he had business contracts with, such as Univision and NBC, as well as fellow Republicans and the public.

Trump's anti-immigration rhetoric was targeted over the weekend by rapper Waka Flocka Flame, whose real name is Juaquin James Malphurs. The 29-year-old rapper fired off a series of Twitter posts aimed at the newly announced presidential candidate.

The "Beast" rapper's tweets then focused on matters concerning race and politics.

"My ancestor was illegal and brought by force I'm just watching modern day slavery... Why not take a f*cking stand #WFF," he tweeted on July 5.

Waka Flocka is no stranger to politics. On April 20, the rapper announced his candidacy in the 2016 presidential election with DJ Whoo Kid as his running mate. His campaign platform includes legalizing marijuana, outlawing dogs and other animals in restaurants, and new policy proposals on jobs, education, Congressional reform and more.

Unfortunately, the minimum age requirement to become eligible for the presidency is 35. The "Obituary" rapper could run for a seat in the Georgia House of Representatives, where the age requirement is 25.

When he's not dabbling in politics, the rapper is making music. On March 2, Waka Flocka released a collaboration mixtape with DJ Whoo Kid called "The Turn Up Godz Tour," which featured Future, Howard Stern, Machine Gun Kelly, Gucci Mane and other artists. In April, he released a mixtape "Salute Me Or Shoot Me 5," which features Future, Yo Gotti and Juvenile.

Waka Flocka is the son of Mizay Entertainment CEO Debra Antney. He is married to "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" star Tammy Rivera.
