The Los Angeles Lakers remained winless in three games after absorbing a 103-93 loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday night at Staples Center.

Veteran forward Dirk Nowitzki torched their Western Conference rivals, as he finished with 25 points on 10-for-13 shooting with three three-pointers, while also grabbing nine rebounds in 30 minutes.

Mavericks starting center Zaza Pachulia also provided a huge lift with 16 points and 12 rebounds, while former All-Star point guard Deron Williams added 11 points on top of eight assists and five rebounds.

The Mavericks, who shot 46.0 percent from the field with 11 three-pointers, scored their third win in three games. The victory came after they took a 104-88 defeat against the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday.

Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant continues to struggle as he finished with 15 points on just 3-for-15 shooting from the field. The 20-year veteran missed his first seven shots and only made his first field goal during the 10:11 mark of the third period, ESPN reported. The 17-time All-Star is shooting just 31.4 percent from the field this season.

"I just can't make a shot," Bryant said. "I'm getting the shots I want. I'm just not making them. D'Angelo's putting me in the right spots and stuff like that. I've got to capitalize for him, that's all if I could make a damn shot, that would help. I suck right now."

Lakers head coach Byron Scott also failed to give a reason for Bryant's shooting woes because he sees how the 37-year-old superstar is working to get into his rhythm.

"I don't know," Scott told reporters, when asked to explain Bryant's struggles. "I know he's not happy with it. He's disappointed with the way he's shooting the ball. He's playing hard. He's competing just like he always does. I think it's a matter of time."

Sophomore forward Julius Randle gave Lakers fans something to cheer about after he finished with 22 points and 15 rebounds on top of four assists and four steals. Lou Williams added 13 points off the bench, while rookie playmaker D'Angelo Russell added 10 points but shot just 4-for-13 from the field.
