Saturday’s chance to win big money playing Powerball is here.

The grand prize is currently at $60 million, with a cash value of $36.7 million.

Last Wednesday’s winning numbers were 4, 26, 32, 55 and 64, and the powerball was 18. There were regular 404,183 winners, and $3,046,451 in non-jackpot money was won.

There are actually nine ways to play Powerball. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 293 million. The odds of simply doubling your money on a $2 ticket are 1 in 38.

A Powerball player in Idaho has just won $1 million.

KTVB News reported Randy Barnum, a man from Sandpoint, mailed off his usual batch of Powerball tickets in September with a feeling that he might win a few bucks. Instead of winning a paltry sum, Barnum ended up becoming a millionaire.

The diligent player picked up his check on Thursday at the same gas station where he purchased his Powerball tickets.

Barnum described learning that he was a winner as a moment of total shock. "When they called, I thought I'd maybe won the Bronco Bowl Bash, the trip to see Boise State's Bowl Game this year," explained Barnum, "Instead they told me I'd won $1 million. I couldn't talk."

Barnum’s wife Colleen could not believe the good news either.

"I was convinced it was a friend of ours playing a hoax on us," she said, adding, "Once we talked to everyone at the Lottery again, though, well, I guess Santa's coming early this year."

Randy and Colleen celebrated their fortune by going out for sushi.

The couple, who will have their 47 year anniversary at the end of November, plan on investing their money and just enjoying their retirement.

Despite his big win, Barnum says he is going to keep on playing Powerball.
