"Scandal" actress Kerry Washington and her retired NFL player husband Nnamdi Asomugha offered their California home on the market.

Washington and Asomugha listed their Hollywood Hills abode for nearly $2.7 million, Los Angeles Times reported. The news outlet noted that the couple only owned the place, which they bought from "Wendell and Vinnie" TV actress Nicole Sullivan, for just a year. However, they could profit as much as $800,000 from its sale with their asking price as they only purchased it for about $1.9 million.

They may also be parting with it sooner than they think as right after it was listed, an interested property hunter already came forward to buy the house. The pair entrusted the listing of their real estate property to agent James Foreman of Sotheby's International Realty.

The next owners will find this Hollywood Hills estate a lovely house to live in as it has many features. The more than 3,800-square-foot abode comes with five bedrooms and five full bathrooms. Other living spaces contained in the French Country-themed residence are a comfortable living room, a modern kitchen, an exercise room and a powder room.

Interiors of the dwelling place resting on three-quarters of an acre boast an airy ambiance, naturally lit living areas, recessed lighting, artistic decors, great contrasting colors, hardwood flooring, picture windows, an elegant curving staircase, immaculately white motif for walls and ceilings, simple but captivating hanging lights and marble-lined furnishing.

Outdoors, the house built in the 1920s is surrounded with expansive grounds that display a living room, a spacious lawn, mature trees, employee's sleeping quarters and a guesthouse. There is also a swimming pool that completes the landscaping.

Yet, even though the "Django Unchained" star and the former football athlete are saying goodbye to their home, they may not be leaving California just yet. They still have a Manhattan Beach property in the area, noted the Los Angeles Times.

Washington plays Olivia Pope in the political-themed and critically acclaimed series "Scandal." She shared on Glamour magazine how she loved the script right after reading it, enough for her to be drawn into joining the series.

"I wasn't really looking to do a TV project, because it takes up so much of the year, and then I read the script and it was one of the best things I'd ever read. I really loved this character from that moment. I love that who she is privately and who she is publicly are so vastly different," the TV star said.

Meanwhile, Asomugha had a long career in the NFL. Asomugha played for the Oakland Raiders for eight seasons since 2003, two for the Philadelphia Eagles and was last seen in 2013 with the San Francisco 49ers, per ESPN stats.
