In his first term as Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Paul Ryan is already cementing his power over the upcoming budget for 2016.

According to CNN, Ryan was instantly put to the test with the issue on the national budget for 2016, wherein the proposed budget of $1.8 trillion was easily passed. The approved budget will swiftly save the government from shutting down as well as deliver some much-needed tax breaks.

This is also a milestone for the GOP who merely set to make the budget happen for 2016. The vote that made it possible for the budget to pass also means that the legislative side of the government has primarily won.

Rep. Steve Scalise said when asked about what he thinks of Ryan's installation in the position, "The members feel like they've got a lot more air cover to go and fight the battles that we're engaged in up here."

The 2016 plans include the continuation of decentralizing power as opposed to his position doing a majority of the decision making. The authorization for using military force in fighting ISIS was also discussed, wherein Ryan revealed that there might be some stab on drafting new policies. However, he avoids gaffe by confirming that the House will eventually vote for it.

According to the WashingtonTimes, Ryan also felt the need to defend the budget for a tax break, which amounted to $620 billion despite some outcry from his critics.

When asked about his comment on the tax break budget, he said, "We're keeping taxes where they are, because there's an artificial problem from the law that says these taxes will rise. Not raising taxes is not cutting taxes. It's not raising taxes."

He also denied speculations that he has the tendency to give in to what Democrats and the White House want. He believes that getting elected as the House Speaker speaks a lot of his achievements.

Although he sees some light on the discussion whether to change ObamaCare, Ryan promised that the issue will definitely be discussed. However, he also said that he cannot guarantee the outcome.

It may not come easy for the GOP member to take on the job as a spokesperson, but one idea that totally aligns his approval to that of President Obama is the issue on criminal justice reform. Coming from the subtle responsibility of being a state representative, Ryan admitted that he didn't know all of the top Democrats until a discussion was held before them.
