Joy Behar -- a former co-host of "The View" -- will star in a one-woman show off-Broadway entitled, "Me, My Mouth and I," Broadway reports.

The show is scheduled to run for a limited engagement from Nov. 23 to Dec. 21 with a series of preview shows beginning Nov. 6 at the West Village Theater, says The New York Times.

According to Broadway, "Me, My Mouth, and I" tells the story of the fiery comedienne's life from growing up in Brooklyn to eventually becoming a stand-up comedienne and a "View" talk show co-host for 16 years.

Although this will be Behar's debut in her very own one-woman off-broadway show, she is no stranger to the theatrical stage.

Behar's credits including starring in "Comedy Tonight" on Broadway, "The Food Chain," and "The Vagina Monologues," Broadway reports.

Prior to performing "Me, My Mouth, and I" off-Broadway, Behar previewed the show last month at the Fairfield Theatre Company, the Connecticut Post reports.

While previewing her show, Behar explained to the Post that she intends to make "Me, My Mouth, and I" an enjoyable theater experience for her audience.

"Going to the theater can be a little like sitting in a coffin, but I will make sure everyone stays awake," she explained. "I've done shows in the Catskills where the average age is deceased and there are always a couple of guys sleeping. I don't know why. Are they on medication? Ambien? There are a lot of laughs. I insist on being funny (as I tell my story) because I don't want people to be bored."

Behar also explained her preference to perform live in theater versus appearing on TV or television. Behar confessed that she enjoys "being in the moment" and getting the opportunity tot "talk about whatever I want."

She added, "Maybe if I had another life to live -- if I was 20 now -- I might do more films."
