The announcement came just after Alba was featured on the cover of Forbes Magazines.

The magazine sat with Alba to discuss how Honest became a billion-dollar company. Her company's worth means Alba, who owns about 20 percent of the company, is $200 million richer just off of Honest. This would place her on Forbes list of America's Richest Self-Made Women.

Besides a beauty line, the company is set to launch a feminine care line in July and therefore further adding to Alba's ventures in selling organic products to consumers at affordable prices.

"We're using all-organic cotton and plant-based polymer and a bio-plastic applicator, contrasting that with the plastic content of drugstore tampons and their effect on hormones," Alba told Forbes.

The Honest Company's products are available on the company website and are also sold at various retailers like Target, Buy Buy Baby, Costco and select Whole Foods locations.
