The 21st season of Dancing with the Stars is fast approaching, and there is a growing speculation Caitlyn Jenner will join the popular dance competition next month.

Hollywood Life reported in June that ABC is seriously considering Caitlyn, formerly known as Bruce Jenner, who recently unveiled her new look after transitioning into a woman.

Professional dancer Val Chmerkovskiy even volunteered to dance with Jenner if she decides to accept ABC's offer.

"I would love to have an opportunity to win it with someone that nobody else believes can do it," Chmerkovskiy told In Touch Weekly. "As long as you have the energy, I am in it to win it. She and I will not physically match, but I volunteer."

Jenner's family members -- Kim and Rob Kardashian -- made waves in previous seasons, which makes producers believe the 21st season could make a lot of noise if they will be able to convince Caitlyn to join.

However, Alfonso Ribeiro, who has direct knowledge about Season 21 casting, revealed that Jenner will not join the show barring any major changes in the coming days.

"I don't think that's going to happen," Ribeiro told E! Online, when asked if he thinks Jenner will put on her dancing shoes for Season 21. "Not going to do it."

Ribeiro's statement seemed to have confirmed a scoop from a Hollywood Life source, who previously said ABC made an offer, but Caitlyn did not commit to the show because of several factors.

"DWTS is losing hope on getting Caitlyn for the show," the source told Hollywood Life. "The offer was made, but scheduling, money and a few other bumps in the road are making producers feel that they should give up on their chase."

Jenner, who won the gold medal in men's decathlon during the 1976 Olympic Games, was awarded the Arthur Ashe Courage Awards during the 2015 ESPYs, following her decision to transition into a woman.

Kaitlyn Bristowe & Ricky Schroder Won't Dance

Meanwhile, Ribeiro also ended hopes of fans who are hoping to see Kaitlyn Bristowe of The Bachelorette hit the dance floor next month. According to previous reports, producers are also determined to get a yes from Bristowe.

However, Ribeiro, who won the Mirror Ball Trophy in Season 19 and was recently named as the new host of America's Funniest Home Videos, said that Bristowe is also not yet ready to join DWTS.

DWTS producer Deena Katz also wanted to add Ricky Schroder, but Ribeiro revealed the veteran actor and director also declined, admitting that he cannot dance well.

Dancing with the Stars Season 21 will kick off on Sept. 21 on ABC.
