Last month, it was reported that "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Phaedra Parks filed for divorce from her husband Apollo Nida, who was sentenced to eight years in prison for bank fraud.

At the time of the divorce filing, Parks appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and suggested that her divorce stemmed from the betrayal she felt towards not knowing about Nida's involvement in illegal activity:

However, the premiere episode of Season 7 of "RHOA" -- which aired on Sunday -- shows that it was Nida who asked for a divorce after Parks failed to show up to his scheduled jail sentencing.

"You abandoned me. Family is supposed to stick by each other," Nida told Parks during the premiere episode according to People, "I don't want to be in this relationship no more. I'm gonna talk to divorce counsel and go my own way."

In addition to giving viewers an inside look on Parks and Nida's tumultuous relationship, Season 7's first episode showed fans that other "RHOA" cast members also opposed Parks' decision to be absent from Nida's sentencing.

S2S reports that Kandi Burruss' husband, Todd Tucker, expressed his disapproval of Parks' decision to skip out on Nida.

Burruss also confronted Parks on her decision and used former President Bill Clinton's sex scandal with former White House aid Monica Lewinsky as an example for why Parks should stick by Nida's side.

"Even doggone Hilary stood by Bill Clinton's side even when he was getting his d**k sucked," Kandi explained:

NeNe Leakes, another "RHOA" castmate, also shared her opinion of Parks' actions during Sunday's episode of "Watch What Happens Live."

"It's really sad," Leakes told "WWHL" host Andy Cohen. "All I can do is just pray for them ... I feel bad for Phaedra, but I feel bad for Apollo too."

Despite admitting to feeling bad for both parties in the relationship, Leakes revealed she would have stayed by her husband's side if she was in Parks' position:

Parks has yet to respond to her cast mate's opinion on her decision.

Meanwhile, Nida is currently serving his eight-year sentence in jail.
