Kris and Bruce Jenner, parents to the infamous Kardashian clan, are divorcing after 22 years of marriage. And they're both happy about it, sources say.

"We are living separately and we are much happier this way," the reality TV power pair confirmed to the tabloid news station, E!. "But we will always have much love and respect for each other. Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends and, as always, our family will remain our number one priority."

Kris, who was formerly married to O.J. Simpson's defense attorney Robert Kardashian, married Bruce Jenner, former Olympic medalist, on April 21, 1991. Her divorce from Robert was finalized March of the same year, her divorce from her first husband due largely to her affairs.

Since 2007, Kris and Bruce have appeared on E!'s reality series, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, which documents the lives and interactions of the couple, Kris' children Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and Rob, and their daughters Kylie and Kendall.

The Jenners have apparently maintained separate homes for almost a year; and before now, brushed off rumors of separation and divorce. Bruce Jenner lives in his Malibu home, while Kris Jenner remains in the family home in Hidden Hills, California.

It was Kris' younger sister, Karen Houghton who first announced  to In Touch Magazine that Kris and Bruce were no longer together.

"[Kris and Bruce] are separated," Houston told the mag. "Their relationship goes back and forth. I would love to see them get back together."

The separation was then confirmed by Brody Jenner, son to Bruce, on Monday of this week, and, finally, by  the separating couple on late Tuesday.

Though they've decided to end the marriage, they insist that they still love one another, have a strong friendship and family still comes first. And, it has not been said what the upcoming season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians will be like now that the two are separated.
